Alginate is the most commonly used paste for reactive dyes and is considered to be far superior to any other gums .
With using sodium alginate in textile printing the print comes out with clearer lines, brighter patterns, more favourable permeability and colour that’s well-distributed and also leaves the cloth very soft.
