ALGINATES
Alginic acid is a naturally occurring, edible polysaccharide found in brown algae. It is hydrophilic in nature and forms a viscous gum when hydrated. We manufacture Alginic Acid from the brown algae species Sargassum and Turbinaria which naturally grows in Indian seas. Alginates from different species of brown seaweed vary in their chemical structure resulting in different physical properties of alginates.

The unique nature of Alginates manufactured from Sargassum is the low M:G ratio or high G
(α-L-Guluronate) which results in excellent gel strength even at very low concentrations.
