Alginate is one of the most frequently used dental impression materials. Sodium / Potassium Alginate forms elastic, irreversible hydrocolloid impression when mixed with water containing a calcium source. Alginate impression material produces accurate dental impressions even in the presence of saliva. Further Alginate is hypoallergenic making it well suited for dental molds.
